“Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Mission to Pluto and Dr. Dee Dee’s Meteorite Mission are delightful books for children. Valuable scientific information meshes with an engaging story. Dee Dee Dynamo is a marvelous role model for girls. The author shows that science is entertaining and she excites the imagination of young readers. I encourage their parents to read it, too!”

Corporate Executive & Author
Dr. Wright is the Author of Dear Success Seeker: Wisdom from Outstanding Women with a Foreword by Camille Cosby, Ed.D. and featuring a collection of 85 original letters from women leaders and history makers including Joyce Meyer, Ruby Dee, Billie Jean King, Rosa Parks, Leeann Chin, Phylicia Rashad, Della Reese, Mae Jemison, Shirley Caesar, and Patti Labelle.
"As a longstanding tenured corporate executive who has worked with top-performing Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology organizations including Genentech Biotech Company, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, I know and appreciate first hand the importance of the healthcare field in general and its perceived stereotypical impact and limitations on African Americans in particular.
And Dr. Oneeka’s Williams Dee Dee Dynamo-Super Surgeon on the Go series alongside the latest release Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo's Meteorite Mission is a mission and operation most noteworthy.
Moreover, being a dual engineer, I am most confident that Dr. William’s uniquely crafted book series will help to propel impressionable, disadvantaged, underrepresented and deserving African American youth to shoot for the stars in pursuing careers in science, the medical field and beyond. Foremost, Dr. Williams does a cleverly ingenious job in creatively naming each of the various surgical tools and equipment such as Simon Scissors, Raoul the Retractor, Marky Medicine Bag and The Charger Family. Then she does a phenomenal job in bringing all of these characters in synergy to create not only a remarkable masterpiece but a stimulating series promoting a love of reading and sciences for many generations to come!!!
Without question, Dr. Dee Dynamo's Dynamo Books and its latest release will positively cut in the hearts of all of its readers and bring a dose of much love to the hearts of anyone desiring to pursue their passion in life. It is most definitely a 'must have' centerpiece and a 'must read' masterpiece."

“This is an unusual book that combines the whimsical with solid science, my only problem with that is that the young reader may not be able to make the distinction. Dee Dee is a young and very energetic surgeon and she is full of energy and ready to go in the morning. Dee Dee and her friends talk about her last actions, which was to perform surgery on the planet Pluto.”
A new crisis emerges when a section of Astrid Asteroid breaks off and enters the Earth’s atmosphere over Chelyabinsk, Russia. This was a real event of 2013, where an asteroid exploded with a force over 20 times more powerful than the atomic bomb at Hiroshima. Dee Dee and her pals fly off in Freeda the Flying Ambulance to help repair the damage. Dee Dee lives up to her reputation as a dynamic surgeon as she rapidly moves from patient to patient, cutting and sewing. Many of her patients are animals, ranging from chickens to bears. Her greatest task is to put the pieces of the meteorite back together so that it can be transported back to be reconnected to Astrid Asteroid.
There is a lot of asteroid science in this book, from the descriptions of the most famous meteor craters to how a meteor generates a sonic boom to what some of the more complicated words in the book mean. The last page contains a set of 11 scientific questions that were part of the story, which makes this an excellent science book. If there are clear explanations regarding what parts of the book are fact and what is fiction, this book is strongly recommended for elementary school students.”

“Dr. Oneeka Williams has gifted generations to come with an extraordinary and imaginative book enabling children to recognize their own scientific powers. Like the precious hands of her lovable main character, Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Mission to Pluto was made to heal.”
Carmelita Johnson, The Knowledge Quest
“Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo along with her witty supporting cast, encourages parents, teachers and students to read, read and read. The story line is intriguing, while introducing students to science and a great glossary of terms. The characters are smart and engaging. The illustrations are bouncing off the page, like eye candy. This book should be in the hands of every child and at every school on the planet, including Pluto!”

“My kids and I loved Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo, a strong female main character, and her family’s encouragement of her unique gifts and talents for the greater good. The story provides youngsters with a knowledge of both medical and astronomical concepts such as what makes a planet versus a dwarf planet. A nice bonus for parents of children with special health needs is that Dr. Dee Dee must use special equipment to monitor her energy levels and plug into to recharger her powers. This story provides many avenues for imaginative conversation with your child, such as exploring what happens to Pluto next as well as how Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo got her special powers. It definitely has room to be a series and we look forward to reading more. Go Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo!”

“Check out the cover of a children’s book and you can pretty well tell if it’s one to acquire for your permanent children’s library! This one definitely is! Other than the picture of Dr. Dee Dee, I found the most compelling were the inclusion of various medical instruments on the cover and inside cover, and each had a name! How wonderful an idea that can be effectively used to help children understand about going to see a doctor and what instruments he or she might use… especially “Sydnee Syringe”! Nobody likes getting shots, no matter how old we are! And having that stethoscope being placed on our chest for the first time, just might be what leads some children to play doctor and even dream of becoming one!”

“A really good children’s book. For an ultimate science lesson filled with space related terms and even medical terms, Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Meteorite Mission will fit the bill.”

“Not your average super hero saving the world. Among the author’s goal by writing this book series was to introduce young girls in particular to the sciences and to give strong, positive role model for girls of all colors. She accomplished this quite well with sporadic bit of scientific information throughout the book. My only problem is children being able to tell the difference between fact and fiction.”
Pat Tierney, mrtierneyslibrary.com
“Stories and books can be the best source of inspiration. Dr. Oneeka Williams M.D. has placed positive messages in her picture book aimed at preschool through early elementary school children.”
“Dr. Williams has injected a lot of science into the story with the hopes of inspiring all children but especially girls to pursue the sciences. The message in this book is clear, “Not even the sky is the limit””
Conny Withay, blogger
“Children’s fantasy read about repairing a meteorite. As an educational tool for kids interested in science and space, this book encourages children to live life without limits as it suggests “not even the sky is the limit” within the storyline.”
Kristi Bernard, blogger
“Williams has done an excellent job of bringing science and space to the forefront for kids. The explanation of asteroids, meteoroids, meteors and meteorites is put into simple terms for young science enthusiasts to absorb. The back of the book has a glossary, discovery questions and lots of learning words for kids to read, comprehend and have fun with. Parents and teachers can use this tool to really bring about a better understanding of the science of space. Vivid and colorful pictures along with a light-hearted story make for a fun read.”
Alvin F. Poussaint, MD, Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School
“Dr. Dee Dee Dynamo’s Mission to Pluto is an imaginative, creative story for children. Using modern surgery to rescue Pluto in space is enchanting. Young readers will be entertained and educated by Dr. Dynamo’s space adventure. The beautiful illustrations enhance the impact of this delightfully compelling story. I highly recommend it.”
